Every single one of the Jackson LotR films was this millennium. 2001-3. All of the Harry Potter films. All three of the new Narnia films. All of the PotC films.

Yes, a significant number of the films on this list are older. A significant number are newer as well.
other than the big names, there have been a large number of movies since 2000 that are missing notably Prince of Persia, Dynasty Warriors, Assasins Creed, Avatar The Last Airbender, The Witcher, Eragon, Pans Labyrinth, The Brothers Grimm, Bridge to Terabithia, Stardust, Enchanted, The Spiderwick Chronicles, Legend of the Seeker, Where the Wild Things Are, Snow White and the Huntsmen, Jack the Giant Slayer, Maleficent, Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters, Oz the Great and Powerful, The Scorcerers Apprentice, Alice in Wonderland, Arcane, OnePeice, Shadow and Bone, Cursed, Damsel...

damn thats a lot to try and recall! of course they cant all be put in a poll and I do love the 80s fantasy movies but the observation that the poll favoured older movies over the new crop isnt too far off

Other than Pan's Labyrinth, not one of those is a good movie.

Where is that Singe?
Not only did you pass judgement on other people's games, intentionally or not, you're -dead- wrong. And you have been since you made that post. D&D HAT has been the number one pick for most of the day. It's nearest competitor, arguably three better films tied to a massive cultural legacy that helped -birth- D&D in the first place, is down by 7%.

And I know. 'Cause I put in the first vote where it was tied with Big Trouble and Pirates.
LOL show me where, anywhere, I passed judgement on other people's games!? Never happened...

I've passed judgement on a movie (!!!), which I didn't like and don't see as representing ideal D&D for me--which it isn't at all--so never got my vote.

Further, I am not "- dead - wrong". There is no right or wrong, there is only opinion, and I stated mine. You might not like my opinion, but that doesn't make me wrong and you right. Period. It just makes it my opinion and your opinion.

Also, HAT was not the number one pick when I first posted; the LotR (Jackson) was. HAT was a close second at that point, but not in the lead. At it stands, barely 50% of the people voting are tossing it a bone at all... so that means for nearly half the people voting, it doesn't represent their Ideal D&D.

Anyway, the point was just to pick which most represents your IDEAL D&D. HAT is way down on that list for me. FOR ME! I don't care where it is for anyone else---that is their choice. I call it a crap movie for all sorts of reasons. You like it? Fine, like it! Doesn't change that I don't.... and I don't expect my not liking it or thinking it is "ideal" D&D won't change yours.

So, in summary: no passing judgement, just opinions, not my ideal D&D, apparently yours, done.
