D&D (2024) WotC Dragon Redesign video, updated.

What's the use of a digital art book? Here are pretty pictures on my computer? You can't hold it up to show it to your players, you can't put it on the coffee table, and the only way to make it a desktop background is to screenshot it.

Like... I'm not sure I understand what this type of product is for at all. Maybe because I'm not an art-type person.
With a phone you can hold it up to show, or you could print them.

But mainly looking at art is cool.

Honestly, a bit disappointed with the video. Hearing the discussion of the Gold and the thoughts behind it was neat, but I was hoping for them to talk about ALL of the dragons. I wanted to see the White, the Brass and the Copper, and I wanted to hear the thought process behind it all.

And, from the editing, they did talk about it all, they just didn't send that to us.

The art book appears to be just for the physical bundle. My group pulled our money and preordered the digital bundle a week or so ago and nada for us.

The wording on the website is a little ambiguous, since I had the same question.

I wonder if there will be a splashy Dragon piece gor each Class, since we already know the art pieces they have been showing off are from the PHB per the artist?
Probably not for all the classes. This one shows a fighter protecting an ally, maybe to illustrate the new Protection Fighting Style?

My guess is some classes get more splash art when they don’t need as much text to fill their section. So Martials get more while casters get less just because of text demands maybe?

Yeah, all we do know is thst one artist did ten big soemwhat symmetrical paintings for each Dragon for the PHB, and that Black Dragon is one of them.

So I have ordered the Core Rulebook digital bundle and I have receive the email said :
" If you pre-ordered a version of the 2024 Core Rulebook Bundle that includes digital books, or pre-ordered digital versions of the 2024 Dungeon Master's Guide and 2024 Monster Manual, your additional bonuses will arrive at a later date. Keep an eye out for another email from us when they're released!"
So looks like the art book and the gold dragon miniature for WotC's 3D VTT will arrived when DMG/MM is near finished.

Wild. I wonder if the confusing wording around their site is the result of the policy changing.

I'll take the art book certainly.

(Not holding my breath on the VTT, though.)
