I missed out on the Dark Tower crowdfunding (picked it up in retail), so I'm going deep on this one. For one thing, as a Canadian this is a great opportunity to pick up some other DCC books and save on shipping. When I backed The Music of the Spheres is Chaos, I was even able to add-on some 3PP PODs. I don't know if they're doing something like that again, but hopefully!

Wonder what OAR 10 will be. This looks nice for nostalgia but I just don’t need another large dungeon adventure.
Goodman is all about the dungeon crawls, but their take on Isle of Dread shows they can do a lot with wilderness.

Maybe a topic for another thread, but I'd be curious to see what others would put on a list of iconic old school wilderness crawls and the like that Goodman could do in the OAR line (i.e. that aren't currently owned by WOTC).

Not being owned by WotC makes it hard. Honestly, while there are stuff that's historic -- Palace of the Vampire Queen, the first published D&D adventure, for instance -- of the high profile stuff, it's really just Judges Guild or Flying Buffalo stuff left, IMO.

There's a new rights holder for Flying Buffalo who claims they're going to be re-releasing the Citybooks, etc., so those are out (at least until the new rights holder sells them off). And Judges Guild is challenging as long as the younger Bledsaws hold onto those properties, which are declining in value to anyone other than, realistically, Goodman Games.

If they could somehow purchase the Judges Guild catalog, the City-State of the Invincible Overlord, the Wilderlands of HIgh Fantasy and some of the classic adventures, like Tegal Manor, seem like a lock.

But barring either of those happening, I would not be surprised if OAR goes dormant after Caverns of Thracia.

The pledges for the books are terrible if you live in the USA. They rapidly go up on Amazon at a discount, they have a code for a free pdf in the book and you get free shipping. They also don’t have a clean all the new stuff 5e and DCC pledge that does not include t-shirts and dice and other things.

For a thousand years, evil has skulked in the darkness of forgotten vaults and concealed passages. Meanwhile, the surface dwellers bicker and squabble, unaware of a lingering malevolence. And still, they wait…

Follow Caverns of Thracia on BackerKit now, and be ready when it launches in July!

Woo! Thanks for the heads-up.
