I voted for #1 but if possible I'd make two changes to it:

1. Somehow scoop the much-better Strahd imag (the face, anyway) from #2, size it down to the same size as the Strahd in #1, and insert it to replace what's there.

2. Make some changes to the header:
  • - 2a. Lose the red "D&D"; it already says Dungeons and Dragons at the bottom
  • - 2b. Make the word "RAVENLOFT" red (same shade as the D&D is now) instead of white
  • - 2c. Move the whole header to the left by just enough to expose the castle; the upper part of the image is too right-heavy as it sits.
Other than the added text (to make them look "official"), these are unaltered AI images. It might be possible to edit them, but instead I'll try adding to the prompt.

the way the writing covers part of Strahd's head.
but the lettering going over his forehead is an issue
This I can try to fix a bit more (it was worse earlier LOL!) but I doubt it would get any better with this image.

Indeed; in #2 the whole header wants to be moved somewhat into the white space to the right.
Again, as an "official"-style mock up, I can't just move the text... centered it is.

However, I'm trying new prompts with some of the feedback, so we'll see what comes up. :)

Then may I suggest adding the top header yourself later using the 'text' function of any one of a bunch of simple-ish computer art programs, rather than having the AI do it? That way you'll have complete control over where it goes, what it says, its size, and so forth.

Although 1 has my favourite castle, and there's something sinister about how Strahd and wolves are apparently so welcoming.
This was one of the earlier trials... and I hadn't yet adding the text to make the wolves more "aggressive".

This isn't the AI doing the text. All the text is from homebrewery cover pages. So, I have complete control. Here is the image without the text. I might play around with it a bit more after work.

Better. Just need to lose that bottom wolf somehow and this would be a winner.
Yep, the bottom wolf kills that version, which is why I had Strahd higher up despite the forehead-text issue.

Nope to the edge space unless it's about the same shade of dark as the darkest bits of the right-side trees.
That I could probably manage... I'll see what I can manage this weekend.

A suffusion of yellow
2 is best due to the close up dominating the foreground.
For a Ravenloft themes I like 3 as it carries menace but I'd prefer that Strahd was larger
