Does anoyne know of a conversion document for converting between Decipher's Coda system and d20? I would really LOVE to play their LotR rpg and their Star Trek rpg in d20. I hear the Coda system is fairly similar to d20 to begin with.

Thanks!

Because I prefer d20 and already know the system. I do not know much about Coda and really do not want to learn another system. Between me learning Star Wars Saga Edition, d20 in general, D&D 4e, and Savage Worlds, Castles and Crusades d20, the last thing I need is another system to learn. I am looking for a good conversion. Also, how good is Coda? What are its strengths and weaknesses?

Coda is remarkably similar to d20, except that it runs on 2d6 instead of 1d20. I should think that if you multiplied all the player character base stats by 5/3, left most of the secondary modifiers alone, and picked analogue classes, prestige classes, and feats to match characters' orders, elite orders, and picks, you'd have a pretty fair conversion.

Multiplt their base stats by 5 thirds?

Yes, to convert from a 2d6 scale to a d20 scale. I did the same to convert 2d6 Traveller to C&C. It works good as an initial rough, but smoothing out will be needed as you go.

LOTR CODA was a beautiful book, but a broken, broken system. A couple of level 1 hobbits could easily take out a cave troll in open combat. :(

It was a huge disappointment, the magic system though, will remain one of the best ever designed by rpg-kind.
