I'm looking at these three. Doesn't look too hopeful for poor old Fabled Empire though.

Monsoon in particular interests me. We haven't got a heavily SE-Asian inspired setting that I know of, and this looks to carry a lot of Thai, Indonesian etc influences.

Oof, Manifest has pretty priced itself out of my purchases due to its shipping rates. Nearly double the physical pledge cost to get the thing to Australia, even at the most basic pledge level.

Yeah, i know there's still the pdf option, but I kinda irrationally hate those...

I feel bad for the Fabled Empire folks. Seems like a nice little project. It's a math problem that they don't seem to have accounted for from their first attempt.

In their first attempt they had 75 backers for $3319. In the current campaign they've overshot that pretty well so far with 138 backers for $5250. They lowered their original target of $10K to $8K which was a wise move.

The math problem is the pricing. Even doubling the number of backers doesn't support the goal they're after ($8K). They could have gone a little more conservative at $6K, but I understand why they would be hesitant to do that since this is a print product. For such a small run the printed book needs to be priced a good deal higher... which means you may end up losing backers.

It's a tough spot to be in for a first time publisher without a large social media following.
