Welcome to the Bundles, Freebies, and Sales News, the weekly column at EN World that helps make sure you don’t miss out on big tabletop RPG bundles, charity fundraisers, and sales from around the internet.
Freebies and Pay What You Want

Modiphius released another Star Trek Adventures Briefs, their series of free short mission scenarios. This collection is called The Alpha Quadrant and is set in the TOS era covering some of the many key moments in shaping the history of the Federation.
ThinkTank Games has something a bit more unofficial for Star Trek Adventures with the sourcebook Crew, Ships, & Missions featuring NPC crew members, Starfleet ships, story prompts, and more.
Fans of EN Publishing’s Level Up: Advanced 5th Edition will likely be aware of PJ Coffey’s Homebrew and Hacking series of customization rules for creating your own heritages, cultures, and more. Well PJ has now released those rules into the Creative Commons with the Homebrew and Hacking System Reference Document.
Troll Lord Games released Castles & Crusades Aufstrag Preludes, a 13-page sourcebook covering the land of Aihrde covering all the locales of the land ruled by the Horned God Unklar with the fortress tower Aufstrag at its center.
Neon Northern Lights from Barakiel the Archangel mixes OSR with cyberpunk by creating a unique system-neutral setting usable for any OSR rules system. Sixteen new ancestries, nine new specializations, random tables for creating everything from NPCs to monsters to items and more, 50 tables specifically for creating Urbancrawl adventures, freeform hacking rules, and even a starter adventure “Echoes of Freedom”.
While Owl Knight Games doesn’t call Thief Healer Arcanist Warrior “OSR” in the product description, it looks to follow in the footsteps of games seeking to recreate that old school feel with new mechanics. The d4 dice pool system sends players on a quest to explore a dungeon in order to face the monsters and hazards within to steal all the treasure possible.
Big20 Games released a trio of sourcebooks featuring new optional rules for 5e to give more options for players and DMs alike. The first is Skill Training Rules that add depth to characters seeking to expand their options with skills.
The second is Alternative Trap Detection and Disabling Rules that adds more dynamics to traps where players describe their actions to dismantle and render harmless the hazards and those descriptions affect the DC for disabling the trap.
Finally, adding a backstory to your character can either be the most fun or the most tedious part of making a new character depending on your tastes. Character Backstory Template is here to help you no matter what your preference is by making the process faster and smoother.
Over on Dungeonmasters Guild, Thomas Kolar is back with yet another entry from the Wonderful World of Darklords podcast, this time with a new Ravenloft Domain of Dead based on a Miyazaki film this time with Mononoke Forest.
Morgan Williams released Smoke & Steam, a rules supplement for 5e that offers a more steampunk feel with rules for steam trains, steam ships, weapons, and more to shift the relative setting “time” to a more 19th century feel.
And if you want an adventure to try out those new rules with, Morgan Williams also has The Broken Hills Heist sending the party of outlaws on a train heist to steal a mysterious briefcase from a military resupply train.
Sometimes the players will go off in a wild direction, leaving you having to quickly scramble to woldbuild a step ahead of them. Shawn “Sakka of Pi” Williams is here to help with A City Crafter’s Guide to Extremely Detailed Medieval Settlements with 63 unique tables covering pretty much every aspect of a fantasy or medieval historical city you could ask for all ready to be combined on the fly or used to cut down on prep time between games.
The first Lightning Round this week features gamemaster/DM resources like monsters, maps, random generators, one-page adventures, drop-in encounters, and more. All products are Free or pay-what-you-want.
The second Lightning Round features player resources like classes, subclasses, backgrounds, feats, races/species, and more. All products are Free or pay what you want with the suggested price in parentheses.

Charity Bundles and Sales
Over on Bundle of Holding, the 13th Age Megabundle is back with the Starter Collection featuring 13th Age Core Rulebook, 13th Age Bestiary 1 and 2, and six more sourcebooks and adventure, while the Bonus Collection adds on an extra ten more adventures and sourcebooks to expand your games. And while all of this is for 13th Age 1st Edition, it will be completely compatible with the new 2nd Edition coming to Kickstarter soon.
Fans of the Chronicles of Darkness (aka “New World of Darkness”) from Onyx Path will want to look at the Dark Eras bundle. This bundle features the core rules Chronicles of Darkness 2e plus the setting book Dark Eras and a storyteller’s screen and fiction anthology, while the Bonus Collection adds on Dark Eras 2, Dark Eras Companion, and the sourcebooks Hurt Locker and Victorian Lost.
Over on Humble Bundle, Kobold Press and Frog God Games pooled together releases for the Pathfinder RPG Compatible Mega Bundle Part 1. The first tier includes 24 Pathfinder 1st Edition sourcebooks, adventures, settings, monster collections, optional rules, and more while the second tier adds an addition 21 products and the top tier adds even more including the Midgard campaign setting for a total of 69 titles.
If you want more Pathfinder, the Pathfinder 2nd Edition Guns of Alkenstar bundle has been extended for another week. The base level includes the digital version of the Pathfinder 2nd Edition Beginner Box, the Outlaws of Alkenstar Player’s Guide, the first adventure in the adventure path Punks in a Powder Keg, and the one-shot Head Shot the Rat. The second tier adds on the Pathfinder 2nd Edition Core Rulebook and Bestiary (the original OGL versions and not the new updated versions), the Lost Omens World Guide and Character Guide, plus the second adventure path adventure Cradles of Quarts. The third tier adds the third and final adventure The Smoking Gun, the sourcebook Guns & Gears, the setting book Impossible Lands, and the rulebooks Advanced Players Guide and GameMastery Guide plus all three adventure path adventures in VTT format for Foundry. The top tier adds on top of all that a physical copy of the Pathfinder Guns & Gears equipment book (shipping & handling additional).
Imagine this: A 31st-century galaxy scarred by centuries of war in a neo-feudal state of politics and intrigue with battles decided by giant robots. Yes, Catalyst Game Labs and Humble have collected fiction works from BattleTech into a massive collection. The base level includes four novels plus the anthology magazine Shrapnel while the second tier adds on six more novels and the third tier includes a total of 70 titles…but that’s not even the big one. There’s one additional “item” added at the fourth tier, but it’s a bit misleading…as it’s the entire 2023 BattleTech fiction bundle. It says “71 item bundle” but in actuality, it’s a total of one hundred thirty novels and short story collections covering every era of BattleTech lore for an amazing discount.
Magpie Games has an impressive bundle extended for one final week with the Best of Magpie Games Bundle. The base tier includes six games from Magpie Games plus the trio of Fate Codex Anthology titles, the second tier adds on four books for the superhero RPG Masks: A New Generation, the telenovela RPG Pasion de las Pasiones, and three other titles, while the top tier has the big ones: the dark fairy tale series Bluebeard’s Bride, the licensed RPG based on the board game of woodland critters at war Root, and the powerhouse licensed title Avatar Legends with the core rulebook, Wan Shi Tong’s Adventure Guide sourcebook, the adventure An Urgent Request set during the Roku Era, and the Avatar Legends Starter Set not just in digital format but also the physical boxed set (shipping not included)
3D printer owners will want to look into the massive collection of the 3D Beastmasters Compendium. This collection of STL files for 3D printers starts at the lowest level with a pack of zombies with the second tier adding on demons, mushrooms, skeletons of all types, giant insects, elementals, and more with the top tier having a total of 28 themed monster collections with undead pirates, worms, spiders, orcs, lava monsters, and more.
That’s all for this week! If you know of any bundles or sales starting soon, please contact me on the EN World Discord, tag me on Mastodon, or send me a message here on EN World. Discount percentages have been rounded to the nearest whole number and are based on the standard retail price provided by the site. Note: Links to Amazon, Humble Store, Humble Bundle, Fantasy Grounds, and/or DriveThruRPG may contain affiliate links with the proceeds going to the author of this column.
