Mrugank Bhusari is an assistant director at the Atlantic Council GeoEconomics Center. In this capacity, he is responsible for a broad range of research, publications, and events at the intersection of foreign policy and international economics. Prior to joining the Atlantic Council, he worked in the President’s Office at the International Rescue Committee where he supported the organization’s overarching strategy. He also conducted research at the Bangladesh Institute of Peace and Security Studies and served as a Research Assistant in the Economics Department at the University of Chicago under Professor John A. List.

Mrugank holds a bachelor’s degree from Tufts University in Quantitative Economics and International Relations, graduating with summa cum laude honors. He is also an alum of United World College (UWC). He was raised in Mumbai, India.
